    Contemporary Jazz incorporates the techniques of jazz, contemporary, ballet, core strengthening, isolation, release, and choreography.

    Pop and ballad music is mainly used for choreography and warmups.

    Contemporary dance movement is generally fluid whereas Jazz dance is more jerky with high energy. Contemporary Jazz plays around with mixtures of both fluid and snappy elements of jazz dance.

    SALSA Beginner - Level 1

    Salsa is a nightclub partner dance that is popular all over the world!

    A combination of PARTNERWORK which has slick turns for the ladies with macho moves for the men and freestyle interpretation (OPEN WORK) which is playful and flirtatious!

    Salsa night club events run 7 days in Hong Kong, so come down to the studio, pick up some cool moves and then head to the clubs, grab your mojitos and tequilas and dance the night away!!

    At DANCETRINITY we teach the Puerto Rican New York Style of Salsa that is danced in almost every major city globally! We split the classes into different levels, so start with our Beginner classes and work your way up! Even after your first class, you will be able to head to the clubs and start dancing!

    If you've learned some basics but want to work on your technique, then our Salsa Improver classes are for you!

    These classes are designed to enable you to understand the structure of the dance. Correct your timing and step-by-step, beat-by-beat breakdowns are given for each move so that you can execute them confidently.

    Once you have attended enough beginner and Level 2 classes your instructor will promote you to Level 3 to take your dancing further and learn more cool moves!

    SALSA Intermediate - Level 3

    If you've been dancing New York Style for a while now and are comfortable at the Beginner and Improver classes then it's time to set that floor on fire with these Intermediate classes.

    Learn how to use those Improver class skills to combine your moves in new and intricate ways, add stylistic elements to your dance and multiple spins and turns. Play with the structure of the dance and create your style!

    These intermediate classes further refine your Open Work, Partnerwork, Musicality and Spin technique to give you more flair and control in your dancing.

    SWING - Authentic Jazz

    Swing dancing is an African American social dance style originating from 1930s Harlem, New York. It encompasses both partner and solo dancing. Swing celebrates the joy and self expression of the jazz age!

    Authentic Jazz has deep roots in tap traditions and you can see that in it's rhythmical style. Unlike West Coast Swing or more modern styles which have developed towards a focus on shapes and spins.

    - Level 1: No previous experience necessary. Come as you are!

    - Level 2: You know the basics, you got the Shim Sham down and you're looking for the next challenge.

    - Open level: Everyone is welcome! From beginners to advanced dancers. It's full on chaos mode and a whole lotta fun!

    In all classes we're keeping it classic and will be dancing to the greats, like Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald.

    We'll be taking inspiration from the Harlem originators to the modern day innovators! Come and check out some classic swing solo grooves!
