Amanda began her dance journey learning Hip Hop and Jazz Funk choreography, where she performed and competed with her university dance team. In 2017, she discovered Lindy Hop and Blues Dancing in the US, but it was only until December 2022 when she began taking lessons and furthering her skills in partner dancing.

After attending a Blues workshop in late 2022, she fell in love with the freedom of expression in Blues Dancing, as well as its polycentric and polyrhythmic movements with roots in Hip Hop and Funky styles of dance.

In June 2024, she placed first place in Rookie Mix and Match, and third place in Solo Blues category at Seoul Blues Dance Festival, after dancing for less than 2 years. She currently also teaches Balboa dance, a partner dance to fast-paced Jazz music.
