Si-MON started salsa in 2004 under the instruction of Franky Wong (Fun4U Production) in Hong Kong and soon developed a passion for it. He also enjoys dancing bachata, rueda de casino and cha cha cha. But he fell in love dancing Salsa On2 New York style after being taught by Alex Amoroso. Combined with his strong, creative and entertaining style it makes him one of the most popular salseros in Hong Kong resulting in him being voted Salsa Personality of the Year 2008.

Si-MON has performed in a variety of charity shows and balls around Hong Kong. He was a member of the Salsa Dynamics Team performing at the HK Tourism Board’s Winterfest 2006 and at the DSCAN event held at the Fringe Club in 2007. In 2008, he was on the Roadshow TV fitness programmes broadcasted on all over the public buses in Hong Kong. At the Hong Kong Salsa Festival 2008, Si-MON and his partner, Yonnie, were the 2nd runners-up in the Asian Salsa Open Championships.

Si-MON has many years of professional experience teaching swimming and fitness to both kids and adults. He brought this fun and concise learning method to DANCETRINITY students learning to dance Salsa and Mambo and earned himself the title of Salsa Personality of the Year 2009 at the annual HK Salsa Awards.
